Who are you shopping for this month? I actually just bought my first Christmas present for a loved one yesterday. Eek! I saw something 30% off and snagged it. It kind of blows my mind that we’ll be in full-blown Christmas shopping mode in two months, but for now let’s focus on the birthdays, anniversaries, and “just because” occasions that we want to celebrate soon. 🙂 As always, I hope this guide sparks a few gift-giving ideas. xoxo
For all of you Prime members, all items you see in this month’s list are from Amazon.
WoWWee Fingerlings ($12+) – I’ve heard a few people say that these Fingerlings are going to be THE hot commodity for Christmas this year. When I went to grab the link for this post, I almost died when I saw how much higher the prices have gotten and how shipping isn’t free on all of them anymore. I can only imagine how hot they’re going to be in a couple months. I’m not quite sure why they’re so awesome, but I’ll take others’ words for it that they’re super fun for kids.
Cookies Chips & Candies Snacks Variety Pack Bulk Sampler Assortment 40 Count ($24.99) – My sister surprised the girls and I with this amazing snack pack care package as a little pick-me-up earlier this week. Isn’t that the best idea?! She is so thoughtful, and I am definitely keeping this idea in my back pocket the next time I want to send a friend and her family something long-distance. The assortment of snacks is full of stuff I would usually never buy, and needless to say, the girls have totally loved it (and you better believe I stole the Airheads before the girls realized what they were). 😉
Lewo Wooden Stacking Board Games Building Blocks for Kids ($11.99) – This colorful version of Jenga just made me smile, as I can see this being such a fun game to play with kids of all ages, as well as adults. It evokes a ton of laughter and is super easy to understand. What a wonderful game to gift a child and have around the home. Now I want one!
ToiletTree Products Bamboo Bathtub Caddy with Extending Sides and Adjustable Book Holder, 4 Ounce ($34.95) – This would be a great gift idea for a woman in your life who decompresses by soaking in the bathtub. This is something few people would probably buy for themselves, but what a great gift if you enjoy an end of the day soak.
Now Designs Bamboo Utensils, Multi-Color, Set of 5 ($14.99) – I have one kitchen utensil that is a deep aqua color, and I always reach for it over other options. Something about its color make me happy and makes me enjoy using it a bit more. Funny how the brain works. If your recipient loves to be in the kitchen, this would be a great gift. Also… here’s a check in the box for your next hostess gift.
GRID-IT Wrap for MacBook Air ($39.86) – Wow. Jamie could have so used this before he went overseas. Right before he left he was counting all of the chargers and various devices he needed to bring, and he had separate little bags for each. This idea came a few days late for us, but maybe someone in your life could use this. It’s a brilliant idea and so practical.
Periodic Table Mug – I Use This Mug Periodically ($17.99) – For your science-loving someone, this would be the sweetest “just because” gift. 🙂
Urbun Elf Earbuds Headphones ($26.95) – I hesitated putting these headphones on this list, but then I thought about how Hadley’s face would light up if she saw herself in the mirror wearing these. She would want to wear headphones all the time! Such a fun little gag gift or gift for children for your next road trip or flight.
Little Tikes 3′ Trampoline ($44.99) – We’ve had one of these since Hadley was 13 months old, and she still likes going in the basement and jumping on it. Sadie is figuring it out too and thinks it’s great! That little bar makes this a fun activity for toddlers to get some energy indoor or out.
Scientifically Proven Super Soft Neck Support Travel Pillow ($29.99) – Super intrigued by this. I clicked around the few other pictures on Amazon and it looks like a legit product. I would love something like this as opposed to a big neck pillow. If your loved one flies a lot, this would be a nice gift option.
16″ Plastic Rainmaker ($17.76) – I could see my kids having a ball with this!
Strider – 12 Sport Balance Bike, Ages 18 Months to 5 Years ($109.99) – I’ve been seeing these bikes everywhere and am super intrigued by them. They’re supposed to help kids learn to ride a bike much faster. Hadley got a metal tricycle for her birthday last year that she occasionally enjoys, but maybe we need to look at something more like this. According to the ages listed above, even Sadie is almost big enough! Twin Strider bikes for Christmas for the DeSpain girls? And maybe your kids too?
Loaded Questions On The Go card game ($8.29) – We have a card game we like to play with friends around the table where we draw questions and go around answering them. It always evokes a ton of laughter and occasionally really nice conversation. This packet says it’s good for ages 8+, so this is a fantastic option for families who desire more conversation around the dinner table, on a road trip, etc.
BB Dakota Women’s Eldridge Buffalo Plaid Coat ($150) – Lusting hard after this coat, but since I’m not in need of a new one, I figured I’d share it with you incase anyone wants to gift it to themselves this fall or winter. 😉
And just for fun, I gave my IG followers the chance to tell me who they’re shopping specifically for and what kinds of gifts they’re searching for. I jumped on a couple requests and got to work! I got a bunch of requests for Christmas stuff and have noted all requests. <3 (These aren’t all from Amazon like I mentioned earlier in the post.)

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
