Gift Guide for Those Who Love to Entertain with and Play Games

When I think back on holiday family gatherings in the past, I always remember the moments where everybody was united around a table or living room and laughing, usually because of some “dumb” game that someone (*ahem* usuuuuually me) suggested that ended up turning into absolute hilarity.

I risk sounding like such a goober here, but games have the powerful ability to bring people together through good, clean (or not so clean) fun. Snag one or more of these games to give this year and then break them out to play before the holidays are over.

I genuinely hope this guide leads to some fantastic memory making in the weeks (and years!) to come.

Games to Play with Family and Friends

For young kids

{Hadley just got this for her fourth birthday, and we’re all pretty obsessed.}

Don’t Break the Ice ($11.99),

{I haven’t played this with my kids yet, but I remember this being one of my top three favorite games from childhood. So fun.}

Hungry Hungry Hippos ($13.71)

{This game has fabulous reviews! My sister discovered it and is gifting it to Hadley for Christmas. I know what we’ll be doing after Christmas dinner!}

Soggy Doggy ($32.50)

{We got this game last year, and even Jamie and I really enjoy the challenge of it. Perfect and honestly fun for ages 3+.}

Let’s Go Fishin ($13.72)

{This tried and true classic is a great game for teaching kids how to actually play a game, follow the rules, etc. It’s a favorite in our home!}

Candy Land ($12.99)

For families and friends

{My grandmother gets this game out every holiday, and nobody argues! If you haven’t played, you’re missing out. It’s a blast and so easy! You can also play with money!}

Left Right and Center ($6.97)

{This isn’t Jamie’s favorite game, but it’s totally one of mine, so he humors me and plays every time I ask. Haha! Everybody knows how to play, so it’s fun!}

Yahtzee ($8.88)

{I’ve never played this with a group of people and not enjoyed myself!}

Catch Phrase ($11.75)

{The competitive side of me seriously loves this game. Also another game that’s really easy to understand and enjoyable to play with a couple others.}

Jenna ($8.77)

For Laughs

{I’m one of the few people who hasn’t played this yet, but everybody says that they cry because they laugh so hard!}

Cards Against Humanity (for adults) ($25.00)

{We played this last Thanksgiving, and while it’s a bit messy, we did share some good laughs!}

Pie Face ($10.99)

{Also another game I haven’t played, but it was wildly popular last year, plus the YouTube videos I’ve seen of families playing this are a total riot!}

Watch Ya Mouth ($19.69)

{One of our favorite!!!}

Headband ($11.84)

Did you know this is the 11th gift guide out of 13 in this series?! Want to catch up on the rest? Here’s a link to all of the previous gift guides from the last two weeks. Don’t miss them!

Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
