This article contains a downloadable income and expense worksheet for bloggers.
Hello, hello! I hope you’ve had a nice first week of 2018. 🙂 This week feels mega long to me, but we’re pushing through and looking forward to a beautiful weekend (highs in the 40s – gasp!) Besides 30 minutes in the snow on Christmas Eve, my kids haven’t played outside in over two weeks thanks to Mother Nature, and everybody could use some fresh air.
I apologize to my non-blogger readers for a super unrelatable post today, but I have some helpful info for my fellow bloggers that I wanted to share real quick. 🙂
Downloadable Income and Expense Worksheet for Bloggers
If you’re making or spending any kind of money on your site, it’s crucial that you have a way to keep track of every incoming and outgoing penny. This documentation is beneficial for a number of reasons, but at the top of that list is having records for tax season.
Jamie is an Excel wiz, so he creates me a file each year that I keep on my desktop that organizes my blogging finances. He also created a general template for me to share with you all (he’s a gem), so if you’d like this downloadable file to save right to your computer, please click here (will go straight to a download).
As seen in the picture above, the income portion of the template is broken down into three categories: Advertising, Affiliate, and Sponsorship. Simply plug in a number under each category, and you’ll then see it automatically inputted into the “Gross Income” column. Add an expense, and you’ll see that figure automatically deducted from your gross income in the R column. I’ve plugged in some sample numbers below for your reference.
Again, if you’d like to download this file straight to your computer, click here. Hope it’s helpful!

Would you like to be a part of this series this year?! I have openings starting in April and would love to feature you. You’d be shocked at the number of the people who reach out to be featured that let me know that they had been nervous to email me and didn’t think for a long time that their site was “good enough”. OH MY GOODNESS – I promise you are each good enough. Your site is so so so so good enough.
As a blogger, it’s hard to find new exposure authentically without paying a gazillion dollars, doing loop giveaways on IG, or doing something that feels spammy or annoying that’s not true to who you are. I know this because I struggle with it all the time. Simply put, it’s tough to find organic ways to introduce new readers to your content these days.
So in 2017 my goal was to work together to bring new exposure to each others’ blogs, and this series survived and thrived throughout the year. It was a win/win for everyone. I shared all about you (the blogger) in an personalized feature, and then you turn around and share the feature on your blog. Hooray! Everyone wins, including (especially!) the readers because they potentially find new bloggers with similar interests or who talk about topics that are applicable or of interest to them. I love building connections with the bloggers that I feature, and growing that community authentically is such a sweet side of this biz.
Ready to sign up?
Please fill out this form and I’ll get back to you with additional information in the next week or so. In the message portion, just let me know that you’re interested in being featured. THANK YOU! So excited to hear from ya. 🙂

Making the Leap from Blogger to Self-Hosted WordPress
Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
