Much to my horror, I recently discovered that my almost eight year old Pampered Chef stone wasn’t invincible after all and had cracked into three pieces right smack in the middle of dinner baking. HOLD ME. HOW WILL WE EAT!?
All kidding aside, I use our stone almost daily, so this seemed like a first world crisis. 😉
It’s bizarre to me that I don’t know anyone personally who sells Pampered Chef, so I immediately turned to Instagram Stories to see if anyone had a contact (what a time to be alive with a resource like IG stories). 😉 We use our stone so (!) much, so I knew we needed to replace it asap.
Emily got me all hooked up with Samantha, and this beauty queen (my Pampered Chef stone) arrived just a few days later. (My mom knows how often we use our stone, so she offered to let me borrow hers in the meantime. We are serious about our Pampered Chef stones over here!)
I was floored when messages started rolling in from those who were intrigued about why I love my Pampered Chef stone so much. (Excuse me, what?! You do not own a stone? We need to have a serious conversation, my friends.)
A couple of women said they had one but had never used it, some said they were interested in getting one but didn’t know what the big deal was, and others said they quite simply just didn’t know what to cook on it. Someone requested a blog post, and you don’t have to twist my arm even a teeny bit to blab endlessly about the “love of my life: kitchen edition”.
Here are five things I love about my Pampered Chef stone.
I can cook everything on it.
And I mean everything. Some of our regulars are baked and seasoned chicken, cookies, homemade pizza, frozen foods (such as fish sticks or chicken nuggets), store-bought cinnamon rolls and biscuits, and roasted vegetables.
Everything looks and tastes better.
Sometimes when I’m making pizza or cookies and I have enough dough or batter to use a second pan, I’m forced to use a metal pan if I don’t want to wait to use the stone a second time. Every single time I am shocked at the difference at how much better the food looks and tastes after being cooked on a stone vs. metal pan. Even if I’ve cover the pan in foil (which is a pest in itself – I’m lazy), the difference in how it looks and tastes is still night and day.
You don’t have to spray it.
Well, that’s a bit of an initial stretch. The first few times you use it, it’s recommended that you spray it since the non-glazed surface isn’t “worked in” just yet. It’s true that Pampered Chef stoneware gets better with age though. The darker the stone, the better! It becomes naturally seasoned after every use, so after a few uses, it’ll no longer need spraying of any kind. So great!
It’s easy to clean.
So, so easy. It comes with a brown scraper that is also essential to every kitchen. Simply let the stone cool, rinse it with lukewarm water and a little baking soda, and use the scraper if necessary. Towel dry, and you’re good to go!
It’s easy to store.
My mom always did this while I was growing up, so now I do this too: We store our Pampered Chef stone right in our oven! Since I’m probably using it to cook anyway, I grab it out right before I preheat the oven, load it up with whatever I’m cooking, and then pop it back in. If I’m not using it, I just set it to the side until I’m finished using the oven. Easy!
Something to note
Pampered Chef stones do not like when you change their temperature drastically. It’s recommended that you do not bake it in an oven over 450 degrees. Also, it will crack if you put a hot stone under cold water. (I vaguely remember my dad cracking one this way when I was little – whoops! Dad’s in trouble.)
Party time!
I thought it was silly to blab about how much I love this stone and then not give you an option to purchase one, so I set up a little online party with Samantha, if you’re interested. 🙂 Just like if you went to a Pampered Chef party in someone’s home, I’m technically the hostess of this party, so I’ll receive hostess benefits if you order (just being transparent.)
May I suggest…
This Pampered Chef white large round stone is the one I just purchased, and I love that it has slightly raised sides (so great for juicy chicken or pizza dough)! The one I used to have is this Pampered Chef Large Round Stone, and it’s a bit cheaper than my new one. Obviously I loved it so much! These Pampered Chef adjustable measuring spoons are the last measuring spoons you’ll ever get, I swear. We’ve had four of them since we got married, and they’re the best of the best. I also use and love this skinny scraper. It’s so handy!

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
