A Guide to the 2018 Holiday Gift Guides: What to Expect on What Day!

HAPPY FREAKING FRIDAY, MY FRIENDS!

(All caps intended.) Wowweee, this has been one of the busiest weeks that I can remember. It’s been filled with all good things, but juggling one “little” thing after the next can sometimes make you feel a little loony! Responsible adulting isn’t for the birds, no ma’am. 🙂

I am currently parked in a cozy little spot in Starbucks finally getting some “me” time to blog, which brings me so much joy. It’s the craziest thing to me that after so many years of sharing bits and pieces of my life in this space that it’s still my favorite way to decompress and enjoy quiet time. Losing myself in the written word sounds like the nerdiest thing (I’m not saying it’s not), but I just adore it.

You know what else brings me loads of happiness? WRITING GIFT GUIDES! If you’ve been around for a few years, you know that I put a silly amount of pressure on myself always select the “right” gifts for birthdays, holidays, etc. Gifts are my love language, but not for materialistic reasons; I just love the thought that often goes into them. Do you remember that book Jamie made me for my 30th birthday? Talk about the best gift of my life, sheesh!

Holiday Gift Guides

I’ll be rolling out a handful of gift guides throughout the next few weeks that I hope spark some creative ideas for surprising your people with. This list was compiled after a good chunk of you shared the toughest people for you to shop for, so my goal is to try and help you with that. 🙂

Here’s what you can expect and when!

Wednesday, November 21st: Gift ideas for your father, father-in-law, brother, and brother-in-law

Thursday, November 22nd: Gift ideas for your friends’ kids

Friday, November 23rd: Gift ideas for the woman who has it all

Wednesday, November 28th: Gift ideas for a couple

Friday, November 30th: Gifts that I would love for myself

Tuesday, December 4th: Gift ideas for your husband

Thursday, December 6th: Gift ideas for pre-teen boys

Monday, December 10th: Gift ideas for acquaintances

Wednesday, December 12th: Gift ideas that are experiences

I’ll be back to this post after I publish each guide to update this list with links, so feel free to check back to this post for update. Or, better yet, sign up to receive my new posts in your inbox! Each email includes the post title, so you’ll know right away if it’s a gift guide that interests you. Sign up below, if you’d like.

Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
