This article contains information about Annie the Brave Clothing Line.
I so vividly remember the first time my precious friend Chelsea shared that she had a big, scary secret to share: She was taking her very first baby steps toward designing her own clothing line for girls. SHE HAD MY ATTENTION!
Long story short, her eyes had recently been flung wide open to the gaping hole in the fashion industry: There were no feminine, twirly dresses (a style her oldest daughter loves so much) that featured prints outside of the usual princess, unicorn, or puppy dog norm. Though her daughter loved clothes like these, she also loved all things SCIENCE!
So Chelsea, being the brave, bold, driven mom that she is, said “I’m GOING TO FILL THAT GAP!”
And Annie the Brave was born.

About Annie the Brave
Over the last year, I have been fortunate enough to be on the receiving end of her updates about Annie the Brave, and watching her learn how to build a business from the ground up has been nothing short of remarkable. Having two (almost three) daughters of my own, I have believed in this concept from our very first conversation.
Hadley and Sadie love (and I mean love!) cotton dresses and would prefer to wear them over any other garment style. They freaked when it was warm enough last month to finally wear a dress to school.
They are naturally “girly” in every sense of the word and have more clothes with unicorns on it than I can count (Hadley’s favorite!), but they also really (!) like all of the things that Chelsea has chosen as her initial prints:
-Science (more specifically a scientist)
Yes, yes, yes!
I could not wait for my girls to get their hands on these dresses! I knew they would freak, especially Hadley!
Since we live in the Rocket City (Huntsville, Alabama), Chelsea sent each of my girls a sample of her space-themed dresses. They are sooooo soft and precious!
They wore them to school this week, so on the way one morning we stopped at a walkway on the way so that they could pick some flowers for their teachers and I could snap a few quick pictures to show all of you!
I think Sadie’s looks so stinkin’ cute as a tunic!!
I want the other two prints as well (under the sea & scientist), so I supported Chelsea via her Kickstarter, which officially launched yesterday morning!
As of writing this post, she is 29% funded and really needs to reach 100% by mid-May in order to MAKE THIS HAPPEN FOR THE MASSES! What little girl do you know and love who would just go bananas over a sweet, twirly, soft cotton dress with prints like these?
There are perks for backing the Annie the Brave kickstarter, such as discounted dresses, the cutest enamel pin, a printable paper doll, and more. I soooo hope you’ll consider backing Chelsea and snagging your little loves a dress or two from her new line! I have no doubt that this is going to be extremely successful because HOW COOL that girls no longer have to choose between wearing a dress and science. Annie the Brave lets girls do both!
You will want to see Chelsea in action in the precious video she made for her Kickstarter! You can see it and read so much more about Annie the Brave on Kickstarter.
What other science-inspired themes would you love to see Chelsea toss into production for this fall or next spring? I have so many ideas that I would love to see come to life on my kiddos!

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
