This article contains a complete list of our favorite amazon purchases from the last six months.
One of my plans for the day was the do a quick write-up about our family’s favorite Amazon purchases from the last six months or so, so I found it funny that random Amazon purchases came up in conversation with friends at church after the service this morning. I think one friend complimented another friend’s earrings (that she said were purchased from Amazon), which then sent the conversation into a spiral about how everything and anything can be found and quickly purchased on Amazon and HOW GRATEFUL WE ALL ARE – AMEN.
From a financial standpoint, Amazon can be a dangerous black hole, but from a convenience perspective, it’s one of my favorite things about being alive in 2020. 😉
I love hearing about what things my friends and family are using and loving, so if you’re like me, you may enjoy this list of things I’m punching my invisible “recommendation stamp” on. To create this post, I simply went to my purchases made in the last six months, made a list of the things I think are great, and am simply sharing that quick list with you here. 🙂
Favorite Amazon Purchases from the Last Six Months
Makeup case (with clippable $2 off coupon available!) – I heard about this makeup case from Mix and Match Mama and purchased it because my other one was several years old and lacked any kind of organization. I organized everything in this a few days ago and I absolutely LOVE IT. The vertical section separators can be moved to make certain cubbies bigger or smaller, which was really handy when transferring everything over. It’s a nice size (not too small or too big) and feels like excellent quality for the low price.
Wooden Varnished Swing Horse/Unicorn – I found this in a random search for baby swings, and then told my parents that this was what Jillian wanted for Christmas (so technically they bought it!) Jamie put it up last weekend and oh MY GOSH IT’S THE CUTEST!!! Jillian fits so well in it and loves it!
iPad case and screen protector – We gifted the big girls an iPad to share for Christmas, and this was the case and screen protector we purchased for it. I’m not sure if the iPad has been dropped yet (we’ve hammered home to be so careful with it!), but this case has made it very easy for the girls to carry, stand up on a table, etc. Turns out our neighbor besties have the same case for their kids as well!
Favorite Amazon Purchases from the Last Six Months
Soap for men – My dad loves fancy soaps, so I grabbed this for him as an extra, small Christmas gift this year. I haven’t heard back from him about what he thinks, but Jamie immediately wanted to know where I got them from and if I could get some for him as well. The scents smell great but are still masculine, and they look and smell quite more expensive than they actually are.
West Point shirt – I wanted/needed a new shirt to wear to an Army/Navy watch party and needed it fast. Amazon to the rescue! It’s really nice quality, washed up well, and is nice enough to wear with black denim but casual enough to wear with athleisure bottoms.
Ride-on car – We gifted this to my 23-month old nephew for Christmas, and he’s been whipping around on it like a monster ever since. She said it’s quite the hit!
Wet brush – Both girls got a Frozen II Wet Brush in their stockings because in a house with four girls, there simply cannot be enough Wet Brushes floating around our bathrooms. There is NO BETTER BRUSH. Perfect for wet and dry hair. If you have daughters, you need a Wet Brush. If you don’t have daughters, you need a Wet Brush.
Umbrellas – Sadie kills me; She says that this is her favorite Christmas gift out of every single thing she got for Christmas. Her old soul… she is something else. 🙂 We got both girls their own umbrellas for Christmas because they fight constantly over who gets to hold our adult large umbrellas in the rain. They didn’t ask for their own, but they both WERE ECSTATIC to find one in their stockings. I liked these because they’re see-through, from a reputable brand, easy for kids to open and close, and a nice size for adults too incase we need to use it as well.
Shaker cups (two per pack!) – Because three shaker cups in our house wasn’t enough, so adding this double set on a whim was just what we needed to stop searching for shaker cups in dirty dishwashers. 😉
White hooks (two per pack!) – The big girls needed organization in their rooms for their growing purse collections, but these hooks actually now hold way more than their purses. They hold the girls’ jackets, their umbrella, and a few hats. Super inexpensive and speedy to hang. I would say you get what you pay for though; They are very ordinary-looking and lightweight but work well for small things for kids. Cheap, quick organization!
Food scale – My friend Meg taught me how to properly use a food scale during my visit to see her in Savannah back in November, and it’s completely changed the way I track my food. I am considering writing a post about this another time, but if you’re looking for an inexpensive way to track your grams, this scale is a good one. Meg has this one, I have this one, my neighbor bought this one, and my sister also has this one (that ironically she bought years ago).
Balloon inflation pump – I bought this to use for Hadley’s birthday party, assuming I would use it again after her party. WE LOVE THIS THING! It’s soooo easy to use, small enough to easily store, and helps make balloon decor a thing! We used it to create some balloon decor for Jamie’s birthday last month as well as blow up a dozen gold balloons on New Years Eve right before our guests arrived. So speedy and easy, even Sadie can use it!
Patch plus primer – This thing deserves a whole post to itself. Maybe I’ll do just that in the future. 😉 It’s an all-in-one tool that lets you patch a hole, smooth the excess joint compound away from the hole, and then lightly sand the hole. I used one of these things when we created that accent wall in our living room, and it saved me gobs and gobs of time (and sanity). Using just one tool to do all of these things is MONEY. I would imagine if you’re moving soon and will have lots of holes to patch up, something like this is absolutely, positively VITAL.
Supergoop – I had been wearing Cerave SPF 30+ facial sunscreen every single day for four years, but the sun damage on my face is really bad. I am so disappointed in that product, so a few months ago I switched to something more expensive that will hopefully do a better job of protecting my skin. I’ve been wearing this Supergoop SPF 40+ for three or four months and have been happy with it so far. I like the way it feels on my skin, and it protected my face well during our beach trips in November and December. So far, so good.
Colleen Rothschild Cleansing Balm – OBSESSED. The price tag on this stuff is up there, but one container has lasted me three months (and I probably still have another two weeks of product left). It leaves my skin feeling so soft and clean, and it’s effective at taking 90% of my eye makeup off too. I will be buying more of her products.
Revlon brush – Nothing new! I’ve talked about this product several times. In six minutes my hair is straight and smooth. Everybody knows this product is the real deal! Revlon hit it out of the park with this straightening brush.
Charging cord (pack of three!) – Jamie bought us this pack of extra-long cords, which have been really handy.
Graco 3-in-1 harness car seat – This is the spare car seat we bought for Hadley to use in Jamie’s truck. My in-laws then bought two of them for their car. Hadley uses it with a seatbelt, and Sadie uses it with the five-point harness.
Wall lamp plug-in – We bought two of these for our master bedroom to free up space on our nightstands. We love the dimmer aspect and have really liked these lamps. They are pretty and functional. Win win!
“Can’t scare me I have three daughters” – Jamie wore this shirt when I delivered Jillian. He is a nut! He occasionally wears this shirt out in public and people always comment on it and laugh. He’s also had several people ask where he got it from so that they can gift it to their family member or friend. LOL.
Nursing bras (pack of 3!) – For this price, this three-pack of nursing bras is a great deal. I wash my nursing bras after every use, so these bras have been washed and worn 60+ times EACH. They held up phenomenally and are very, very comfortable.
Let’s chat!
That concludes our list of Favorite Amazon Purchases from the last six months. Which item was your favorite?
Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
