Anyone else throwing themselves into house projects as a way of coping/distracting themselves this month? Home-related things have been a pretty solid go-to for me lately, and I’ve heard that by the crowds at Home Depot and Lowe’s, I’m not alone.
A fly on the wall would probably think I’m ridiculous for how often I’ve walked aimlessly around our home dreaming up new design ideas in bathrooms, hallways, and bedrooms alike. I fall asleep every time I try to watch TV and there’s only so many rounds of UNO I can play with my kids, so I guess I’ll just organize this whole dang house in the meantime. 😉 Seriously, I never knew that organizing underneath my kitchen sink would bring me so much joy. We have reached a new limit of “lame” here, folks.
By the third weekday of quarantine, I found myself on SmallwoodsHome.com crossing off a “to do” list item that had been there for month: create a framed collage of the girls’ newborn photos. I had no idea what I wanted to do or where I would hang it, but I knew that I wanted to have a wall with newborn photos.
Long story short, a social media ad led me to Smallwoods, and within 45 minutes I’d picked my design, uploaded pictures, and paid my moolah! Six days later, these six beautiful frames arrived on my door, and I think my family thought I was absolutely bananas as I squealed with delight after opening.
I haven’t stopped talking with family and friends about how obsessed I am with Smallwoods, so it only makes sense that I shout my absolute approval here too. 😉
Product
For $82* with tax and shipping, I receive these six 13×13″ framed pictures ready to hang. The images are printed like canvases with quality that totally knocked my socks off. The frames are lightweight but exceptional, and the packaging was top notch. I could not be more pleased with the product.
Process
The process to create these was not only incredibly easy for me as a first-time user, but it was fun too!
- I created the IG Minis, selected straight from the main homepage.
2. Linked my IG.
3. Select your grid. I selected the 2×3.
4. Tap to upload your image.
5. Select your frame color (stain, almond, black or white). I selected almond.
6. DONE!
A user can also select images from the computer by uploading files, which is what I did since I had some of the high-resolutions photos on my desktop.
Speaking of, while some of these are high-resolution prints, the bottom right is simply an iPhone picture. The quality is just as wonderful! So don’t let that deter you. If the quality and resolution is questionable, you’ll be notified during the creation process. No worries!
*The price I paid at the time was due to a promotion Smallwoods was running, so your price may alter. They seem to always be running sales though!
In Summary
Anyway, just wanted to share this easy, affordable framing option with you! My expectations were far exceeded, and I’ll be ordering from Smallwoods Home again, no questions asked.
I’d recommend playing around on their website and seeing how easy it would be to create your own custom framed piece. They have so many sizing options for shocking prices. (A 25″x17″ framed piece right now is only $49! Wowweee! Hello Mother’s Day presents!)

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
