Hello from my kitchen table on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon! I’m sitting here with a full heart as I watch Hadley and my mom make a cake together a few feet away. Grandparents are just amazing! Watching Hadley love on her four grandparents and watching them love on her in their own unique and special ways puts me in my happy place.
Today I want to share with you a few of my favorite pictures from our family pre-deployment picture session that we did back in September. Some of my friends from high school are talented photographers, and we worked out with them to squeeze in this session during our few days in Alabama before our cruise. At this point we knew I was nine weeks pregnant, so taking these pictures was even more special knowing that our next family photos would include another little DeSpain. I already cannot wait for Jamie’s homecoming ceremony next summer!
The picture below is my absolute favorite from the session. Hadley is really into finding sticks on our family walks, so this picture captures the true her! I also just adore Teddy in this picture. He is so loyal to us, and I just think the way he’s looking up at Jamie is to die for! He’s the best little guy.
