Highlights from a Perfect Wedding Week

We’re home!

It’ll take a few days to fully settle back in, but our hearts are full after an incredible trip. We couldn’t have asked for a better two weeks!

We ended our trip on the highest of highs as we celebrated my best friend Ashley’s wedding week. I took a few pictures here and there with my phone, and I’d love to share a few of my favorites, if you’re interested. 🙂

I’d never been in a bridal party where the wedding was on a Friday, but I loved it because the fun kicked off a day earlier than normal. By Wednesday everyone was in full wedding mode and so happy! That afternoon, all of the bridesmaids who were in town already went out to get our nails done.

We kicked off Thursday with a wonderful bridal luncheon. By this point all but one of the bridesmaids were in town, and I couldn’t have enjoyed this group more. Nearly all of her bridesmaids went to either high school or college with her, and since I went to both with her, I knew all of them except her two future sisters-in-law (who I would soon find out are so stinkin’ wonderful!) I hadn’t seen her sorority sisters in six or seven years, so reuniting with them was super fun.

That evening we rehearsed for the wedding and then headed to the rehearsal dinner where I proceeded to cry on and off the entire time. 😉

If I woke up as giddy as I did on Friday, I can’t imagine how Ashley felt! Ha. 🙂

The entire day was so much fun; I didn’t want it to end!

The rain held off and gave Ashley and Wade a beautiful day!  Every single part of the day was so well thought out, and all of her Ashley’s and her family’s hard work paid off because her wedding ceremony and reception were simply perfect.

Isn’t she drop dead gorgeous? She and Wade are a perfect match. Gosh… I’m still just beaming for her!

My sweet date didn’t look so bad himself. 🙂 So many of our closest friends were there, and we both just had a ball.

Of course my parents wouldn’t have missed it for the world, and they loved every minute of it as well. It was so fun having a night out with them.

As I was leaving the reception I snapped this picture since everything somehow still looked so great. I can’t wait to see the professional pictures and her wedding video!

Another personal perk of the wedding being on a Friday is that it gave us two full days to get home to Kansas. We left after lunch on Saturday, drove to St. Louis (the half way point), and then finished up the trip yesterday. 🙂

I hope you had a good weekend as well, friends! Have a great Monday. xoxoxo

Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
