Halloween · Holidays 5 Comments

Here Comes the Bride (and her Groom), the Happiest Hermione, and a Squishy Pumpkin

Halloween felt short and sweet and overall successful. We braved the brutal temps, watched the big girls run around with glee, and then all collapsed in bed at the end of the day. We made some really happy memories to tuck away and always remember, which makes me joyful to think about. I often wonder if we’ll miss these days… Keep Reading

A Rainy but Mega Sweet Weekend

I can’t remember the last good rainy day we’ve had here in north Alabama, but this weekend we had two days in a row of glorious steady rain combined with comfortable, mild temperatures. Jamie and I really enjoy a good rainy weekend every now and then because we find that it slows us down and makes us want to stay… Keep Reading

RugsUSA Jute Rug Review

RugsUSA Jute Rug Review: In this post, I discuss how long we’ve had these jute rugs, why we purchased them, how they’ve held up, what kind of foot traffic they see, how we clean them, and what the general upkeep is. Links are included as well for easy shopping. Enjoy! Last summer I purchased an 8′ round jute rug from… Keep Reading

Reviewing New Products on the Market + Recommendations for You

One of the most fun, unexpected parts about running a lifestyle website and social channels is the opportunity to review Public Relations items. I believe the way this works is that entrepreneurs create a product and then hire PR firms or individuals to spread their product widely, hoping to get it into the hands of those who will increase sales… Keep Reading

Our Long Weekend in Indianapolis + How We Tackled Jillian’s First Road Trip

With Jillian hitting the three-month mark during the big girls’ Fall Break from school, we decided a few weeks ago that it would be the perfect time to get out of town and head just a few hours north to Indianapolis to see some of Jamie’s closest relatives. This would be our first road trip with three kids in tow…. Keep Reading

Slice of Life: October 14th, 2019

Hello hello! I hope this post finds you well this mid-October Monday. Our crew spent a long weekend in Indianapolis with Jamie’s extended family (he was born in Fishers, if you’re familiar with the area!) and had a wonderful time. Looking forward to sharing a few pictures on the blog hopefully tomorrow since it was Jillian’s first ever road trip… Keep Reading

September Moving Mayhem

Jamie and I have joked for months that we better have our popcorn popped and ready come September because there was going to be a show to watch with many of our closest family members. Ch-ch-ch-chaaaanges! My in-laws had their sights set on moving to our area from Austin, my parents (and grandmother) were embarking on selling their house in… Keep Reading

How to Play High Low Buffalo After school or during dinner around the table, we'll tell the girls we're going to play High Low Buffalo. They know by now what this means, so they usually start thinking immediately about what their answers will be.

Meet Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you!

I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos.

I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 5, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!)

I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
