Out of the Office

Hello, hello! I’m coming to this space today to share that I’m taking a short “summer vacation” away from content creation – my first (overdue) break in seven months! – but I’ll be back soon with a line-up of content that my fingers are already aching to type out. Simply put, I’m craving some down time with my girls and… Keep Reading

A Day in the Life: July 20th, 2018

Hi friends! I hope you had an enjoyable weekend! This was Jamie’s monthly weekend to drill with the Reserves, but he was home by dinner each night, and the girls and I had plenty to get into while he was working. I’m really proud of him and how hard he works to provide for us. I’m excited to share more… Keep Reading

The Public Sale is LIVE! My Try-On Session from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

As a blogger, the annual Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has been front and center in my world every July for years, but I didn’t actually start shopping from it until two years ago. I decided to hop on a few deeply discounted, absolutely adorable, practical, and popular items, and this sale has been super credible to me ever since! I loved… Keep Reading

Dream House Plans: Build It With this Notebook

Dream House Plans: I’m so excited to chat with you about this! When we bought our semi-fixer upper in Kansas four years ago, I had so many plans but so little money. Ha! (We were not intending on buying a home in Kansas, so we weren’t quite as financially prepared as we would have liked to have been! We owned… Keep Reading

One Big Emotional Rollercoaster of a Weekend

I think my exact words in Friday’s blog post were something along the lines of how we were going to have a super low-key weekend and how giddy I was about it. Ha! What a joke. Oy. Low key is the last word I would use to describe our weekend as our lives came to a halt bright and early… Keep Reading

Slice of Life: July 13th, 2018

This summer has been equal parts really stinkin’ fun and really (really) long, and despite all of the good times we’ve had as a family, everybody is going to be jumping for joy when preschool starts in a month! We intentionally didn’t put any family travel plans on the calendar this summer so that Jamie could build his time off… Keep Reading

Stitch Fix Kids Review: Hadley and Sadie’s First Boxes

I can’t believe I’m writing a Stitch Fix Kids review! I’m smiling from ear to ear about it! I’ve been receiving boxes for 3.5 years (!!), Jamie’s now received four boxes, and so it just seems fitting that the girls’ clothing needs can now be met this way too. It’s a whole family affair, and boy oh boy do we… Keep Reading

Meet Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you!

I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos.

I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 5, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!)

I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
