All Over Texas (Fort Worth, Waco, Austin, and Fredericksburg)

Jamie is gearing up for another deployment in a couple months, so we decided that we want to use his block leave time to run around and see as much family as we can. We totally lucked out that my best friend’s wedding is on the tail end of his leave, so we mapped out to visit with Jamie’s family in Texas first… Keep Reading

Stitch Fix Review #20: July 2017

Hello from Austin, Texas! This is our second stop on our road trip, and we’ll be here a few days spending time with my in-laws. We’re planning to explore Fredericksburg today, and I’ve really been looking forward to it since my MIL threw around the idea a few weeks ago of heading that way. Should be fun! Today is Stitch Fix… Keep Reading

Happy Monday! I hope many of you that are reading in the U.S. today are enjoying a day off of work in anticipation for a fun holiday tomorrow! The 4th of July has always (always always!) been one of my favorite holidays. It combines so many of my favorite things – hot weather, grilling, family and friends, and fun for… Keep Reading

The Saturday Sit-Down #25: Munchkins and the Military

Hello!! Welcome to the 25th (!) week of the Saturday Sit-Down! This series is officially full until the end of the year, so we’re just going to keep on going into 2018. Whoop! I read recently that some bloggers feel like blogging has lots its sense of community, but I beg to differ. There are new writers coming on board all the… Keep Reading

Running Around Atlanta + “Funny” Travel Stories

Living across the country from our family and friends for 3.5 years has taught us how to do two things relatively well: 1.) knock out as many birds with one stone as you can 2.) accept that traveling with a toddler is almost always going to make you pull your hair out but that the time with loved ones whose company you genuinely… Keep Reading

A Beautiful Weekend in Savannah, Georgia

Well hi! I hope this mid-week post finds you well as we round out June here in a few days. 🙂 I feel like this month went by in a flash, and we’re predicting July will do more of the same. “Before and After” 1980s Home Tour

We bought our house site unseen back in September 2014, and we fell totally in love when we did the walk through the day before we closed (We like living on the edge!) We immediately saw how it would work so well for our family, and we also could see huge potential for what we could do while we lived… Keep Reading

Meet Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you!

I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos.

I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 5, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!)

I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
