Slice of Life: April 2nd, 2018

We officially have a full week in Alabama under our belts, and it feels really good to be home! I had envisioned last week being full of relaxing days on my parents’ couch and catching my breath a bit, but sure enough we were rockin’ and rollin’ from one to-do list item to the next. Most of it was in… Keep Reading

The Saturday Sit-Down #61: Days of a Wife

Hello hello, and Happy Easter weekend! I have the beautiful Kasey from Days of a Wife on the “Saturday Sit-Down” today, and I think it’s so well-timed that she shares a good amount of faith-based content considering the religious holiday weekend. I love what she has to share today about new adventures, being a newlywed, and a few of her… Keep Reading

Two Beauty Products That Live in My Car

I was driving around a couple of weeks ago, dabbing on some concealer at a red light and then swiping on some matte lip color once I arrived at my destination, and I thought about how darn handy it’s continued to be having a couple of specific make-up items permanently housed in my car. Do you keep any make-up in… Keep Reading

March Gift Guide: 10 Ideas

It’s a big birthday week for our loved ones! Yesterday my beautiful MIL had a birthday, and tomorrow is my dad’s special day. We primarily gifted experiences for them this year, which is something we often like to throw into the mix to change things up every now and then. The act of physically opening a gift on your actual… Keep Reading

Alabama: Getting Here and Being Here

Have you ever done something crazy and thought to yourself later “I can’t believe I just did that!?” If so, you likely understand where my head is at right now because I CANNOT BELIEVE WE JUST DID THAT. And by “that”, I mean handle a short deployment, get through the holidays, find a job, list a house, sell a house,… Keep Reading

The Saturday Sit-Down #60: The Good Stuff

Hellooooo from a very slap-happy Erica! Ha! What a week. We are tired and giddy all at the same time. 🙂 Things went well with the packers and movers the last couple days, so today we’re scrubbing this house until it shines and then going out to pop into a few of our favorite places, including the zoo. Our kiddos… Keep Reading

When I Think Back On Our Time Living in Kansas…

On Sunday morning, we’re hitting the road to make the 800 mile trek to Alabama with two very (very very!) packed vehicles. I remember when I drove with the girls down to Alabama in October, I hoped that the next time I made that drive would be in March (if we happened to be moving there for good). Sure enough,… Keep Reading

Packer Prep & a Week That’s Flyin’ By

The last couple weeks have been flying, and I mean FLYING by (!) around here. We’ve had a zillion balls in the air at all times it seems, but now we’re at the point where our packers are on their way this morning and the “to do” list has dwindled significantly. It’s go time! Last week we were focused almost… Keep Reading

Meet Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you!

I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos.

I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 5, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!)

I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
