Acts of Kindness: Stories of Immense, Unforgettable Acts of Goodwill.

Acts of Kindness- To perform an act of contribution, help, kindness or share with someone if you know they need it. I’ve told this story a few times, but it was one of those pieces of advice that really sticks with you. After Sadie was born and I returned home to Kansas after delivering her in Alabama, my MOPS community… Keep Reading

Fresh 48 Pictures | Mommy, Daddy, and Jillian at 24 Hours Old

This article contains information about fresh 48 pictures. Our stay in the mother/baby unit following Jillian’s birth was quiet, and was by far my favorite hospital stay out of the three deliveries. These images capture really well the calm we experienced during our first full day in the hospital with our girl. It was mostly just Jamie and me in… Keep Reading

Slice of Life: September 23rd, 2019

Happy Monday!! My house is so quiet right now and I’m loving it. (Most people assume I’m an extrovert, but I often recharge from and crave being solo and having silence.) The big girls are at school, Jillian went down for a nap like a champ, and now Mama is ready to spit out a “Slice of Life” for you… Keep Reading

What Are You Saving For?

During a conversation with a group of girlfriends last week, the topic of financial savings and goals came up. In a “Round Robin” sort of way, everyone started casually sharing what their family is saving for or working towards. A couple girls mentioned purchasing new vehicles in the next year or two to accommodate their growing families, one friend is… Keep Reading

10 Weeks as a Mother of Three: Some Storytelling

Jillian will be 10 weeks old on Thursday, and Jamie and I have found ourselves numerous times actually high-fiving each other for freaking DOING THIS. Like, WE ARE STILL ALIVE. And so are our kids. And we’re HAPPY more often than overwhelmed. and RIGHT NOW we are in the newborn stage that found us completely drowning the last two times… Keep Reading

How to Cut a Pineapple: 5 Quick and Easy Steps

I don’t want to insult anyone’s intelligence here, but if you’ve never cut up a fresh pineapple, I’d love to show you a quick and easy way to do it! Jamie and I took a Costa Rican cooking class during our honeymoon years ago, and one thing the chef showed up was an incredibly easy way to cut up a… Keep Reading

Jillian at One Hour Old: Family Photos

Our family has had professional photography taken numerous times since starting our family, and every single time the same thing happens: I initially struggle to justify spending the money (because the best photographers are never the cheapest, rightfully so), but then I beam with absolute delight over the images we get in return. They are typically far better than what… Keep Reading

Modsy Review: The Online Interior Design Service We Tried Out

This Modsy Review is unsponsored.  About a year ago we started discussing our interest in doing a bit of a living room refresh, and just last week we finally bit the bullet and got our big pieces ordered! Wheeeee! It took a hot minute to save the moolah, but a lot of things took priority ahead of a new, “unnecessary” sofa…. Keep Reading

Meet Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you!

I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos.

I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 5, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!)

I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
