Slice of Life: April 26th, 2018

So I just wrote the date in the title of this post and did a triple take at the calendar at the bottom of my computer because how in the world is it already the end of April? I am confident this has been one of the fastest months of my life. I feel like we’ve filled up the last… Keep Reading

Sadie’s New “Big Girl” Bed + the Rocky Transition Period

Sadie’s last night to sleep in her crib was the night before our movers in Kansas disassembled her crib to take to Alabama. We decided months ago that with a new house and new bedroom came a new big girl bed for Sadie since she’d be just about two years old anyway (let’s just knock out all of the transitional… Keep Reading

A Day of Fun for Sadie’s 2nd Birthday

Sadie’s 2nd birthday was so low key and so super great, and I’d love to share and document her special day on here if you’d care to virtually share in the fun. 🙂 We opted not to do an all-out traditional party because of timing. In the last couple of years I’ve really zeroed in on how much I can… Keep Reading

The Saturday Sit-Down #64: Injenious Life

Hello, hello, and welcome back to another week of “The Saturday Sit-Down!” Believe it or not, I’m actually in Birmingham again this morning. One of my long-time best friends turned 30 yesterday, so a girlfriend and I drove down last night to surprise her at a little party her husband put together. We’re heading home this morning because I have… Keep Reading

Sadie Rose is TWO! + a Few Things That Make Her Who She Is

Two years ago at 12:50 p.m., Sadie made her speedy entrance into the world and has had me wrapped around her finger ever since. A mother’s love is the most unique thing; Halfway through writing that very simple sentence above, I started tearing up. My girls know how to twist my heart in a way that feels so unexplainable, but… Keep Reading

Slice of Life: April 17th, 2018

It’s a celebratory week around here because tomorrow because this precious little love of my life turns two! And speaking of Sadie and the “Slice of Life” that this post is, she got her first significant black eye recently. She was trying to be silly and run away from Jamie and crashed hard right into an arm of a chair…. Keep Reading

Meet Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you!

I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos.

I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 5, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!)

I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
