Slice of Life: May 27th, 2018

If you would have talked to me on Friday night, I would have grumbled at you while peering through sleepy eyes that I way, way, way overdid it this month. I’m not a napper, but on Friday afternoon I napped for two hours while my girls thankfully also slept, and then I went back to bed at 6:50 p.m. for… Keep Reading

9Round versus Orangetheory: I've been a devoted member of each gym and am comparing and contrasting objective ideas about both. From equipment, start-up fees, class schedules, so much is compared. If you're looking into joining one of these gyms, this may give you a bit more information about what to expect. Click here to read more!

9Round Versus Orangetheory: Similarities and Differences

I risk sounding quite dramatic with my next statement, but joining 9Round in Manhattan, Kansas back in December was one of the top 10 best decisions of my life. I don’t think I realized how stressed, overwhelmed, or “in a rut” I regularly felt (usually SAH mom related) until I realized how great I started to feel (equal parts mentally… Keep Reading

Turks and Caicos Destination Wedding Weekend

My college roommate Hannah had two big dreams for her future that my sorority sisters and I would all kind of giggle and dream about with her: her first big dream was to be a dolphin trainer (check!), and her second big dream was to get married one day in Turks & Caicos (check!!). Her mom has worked in television… Keep Reading

Organizing Medicine and First Aid: Most people created medicine cabinets or closets, but have you ever considered saving space and organizing it all in a clear hanging bag? This post will walk you through the 60-minute project of cleaning out your former medicine cabinet and reorganizing it in a way that'll be functional for the long haul.

Organizing Medicine and First Aid: From Cabinet to Hanging Bag

If your big ol’ heart pitter-patters to the beat of having everything organized, you may just have a new project to work on once you finish skimming through this post. 😉 For that reason, I’ll keep this short and sweet! During my recent trip to Georgia, I noticed that my friend Jessica had all of her kids’ First Aid and… Keep Reading

Stitch Fix #24: May 2018

Three cheers, it’s Stitch Fix day! I usually don’t closely track when my fix ships and is scheduled to arrive, but for some reason I was bursting this month to receive my box (probably because it’s been three or four months since my last one thanks to our big move). I totally cheated and snooped on my box online on… Keep Reading

Mothers Day Weekend + an Extra Grateful Heart

Mother’s Day weekend this year was just the way I prefer any ‘ole picture perfect weekend to be – a little sun, family, rest, catch-up, Jesus, and social time. Earlier in the week I had scheduled a 7 a.m. Orange Theory class for Saturday morning, but on Friday night I canceled it. We had just returned from Georgia, and my… Keep Reading

Girls Trip Across Georgia

Woweeee, what a whirlwind week we had last week! I road tripped with the girls to Savannah, Georgia (Richmond Hill for those who are familiar with the area!) to see one of my best friends, Jessica (we met while teaching next door to each other in Tennessee – fun, right?!) It was so exhausting but so much fun and absolutely… Keep Reading

The Saturday Sit-Down #67: Luke & Manda

Happy Saturday! I’m so happy to be home this morning after a whirlwind, awesome week in Georgia. I’m looking forward to celebrating Mother’s Day with my own mom and then of course the girls who call me Mom, and I really can’t ask for much more than that. This week I’m featuring Amanda as the “Saturday Sit-Down” blogger! She and… Keep Reading

Meet Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you!

I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos.

I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 5, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!)

I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
