The great milk debate: Is Fairlife milk a better option for your family than regular grocery store milk? I reached out and found more than a dozen responses from all kinds of people about what their experiences and opinions are when it comes to this debate. There's no doubt that Fairlife is more expense, but is the price tag worth it for healthier milk in the long run?

The Great Milk Debate: Fairlife Vs. Regular (+ Readers’ Opinions)

Last Friday we did our grocery shopping at Walmart for the first time in forever, and when I went to grab our weekly three (!) gallons of milk, I noticed a brand of milk that I’ve seen more and more people talking about online lately – Fairlife. A gallon (16 cups) of Walmart’s brand of whole milk was $2.98. A… Keep Reading

When Social Media Doesn’t Tell the Whole Story

If you follow me on IG Stories, you’d have thought we were having the most enjoyable Friday night this past weekend (and we were!) I posted a picture of our lake view from Jamie’s Army function (it was absolutely the most beautiful weather), and then I shared a picture of us smiling as we headed to our next stop of… Keep Reading

This blog post is a part of a series I like to do which showcases my favorite Subscribe and Save deals! I hope you find some new products to add to your monthly delivery that end up saving you great money. Enjoy! Another month of Amazon packages, and another month where I’m covering my eyes as our poor mailman trucks… Keep Reading

The Saturday Sit-Down #30: One Mile Home Style

Kansas bloggers are feeeeew and far between; there aren’t many of us! Fortunately I’ve had the pleasure to meet several of them though, and one of my absolute favorites is this girl! Meet Stephanie, today’s featured “Saturday Sit-Down” blogger. 🙂 She and I had been following each other’s blogs for a while, and last summer she ran over to World… Keep Reading

IG Stories Q&A: Eyebrows, Nursing, Friendship, and a Few Favorite Things

Happy Friday! What do you have on tap this weekend? We have zero commitments – hallelujah! – and are pretty darn thrilled about it. 🙂 Earlier this week I was cranking out some blog-related tasks and hopped on IG Stories real quick to ask if you all had any topics you’d like to see me cover on the blog. I… Keep Reading

Six Breakfast Dishes to Bring to a New Mom (Or Any Friend Who Could Use a Hand)

After Sadie was born last year, a handful of my sweetest gal pals came over to feed us, and it was incredible and humbling and so very appreciated, especially since I was such a hormonal mess sending Jamie back to Kuwait for a couple months. One friend from MOPS brought by a big patch of homemade pancakes and fresh fruit… Keep Reading

Slice of Life: August 1st, 2017

Sadie has the right attitude about August: we’re going to be maxin’ and relaxin’ during our last full month of summer. Preschool doesn’t start around here until September, so besides a quick wedding Jamie and I are jetting off to in few weeks, we’re going to be enjoying some slower days around here. It’ll be our last full month as… Keep Reading

Meet Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you!

I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos.

I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 5, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!)

I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
