The Last Weekend of Winter with a Summertime Feel

Hello SPRING! Kansas is the first place we’ve lived where we’ve truly experienced all four seasons, each for a good length of time! The winters are brutal (that wind!) and the summers sometimes feel like a hairdryer, but I’ve really loved the spring and fall the last 2.5-3 years we’ve lived here. Excited to start getting outdoors on the regular… Keep Reading

Balancing Working from Home While Being a Stay-At-Home Mom

I originally titled this post “Tips for Working from Home”, and then I thought… I don’t have any magic tips for working from home. In fact, I kind of stink at it most of the time. 🙂 I get emails a lot asking about how I balance blogging while also parenting my two kids, and I always try to be upfront that it’s… Keep Reading

The Saturday Sit-Down #10: The Girl Who Loved to Write

There are a handful of blogs that I type in directly to visit almost every day, and Chelsea’s is one of them. I found her blog randomly two or three years ago, and I was captivated by what a great writer she is. I’ve told her a million times that I hope to see her write a book one day!… Keep Reading

What Would You Do Differently?

I had the most interesting conversation with a loved one months ago that I’ve given a lot of thought to ever since; I’d love to hear your thoughts on this topic! We were casually talking all things parenting, and she mentioned that her only regret from raising her children was that she yelled too much at times. Her children have been adults for… Keep Reading

Slice of Life: March 16th, 2017

What a week! We’ve been busy around here! Hadley would say that the last few days have gone down as three of her favorite ever – she had her first real sleepover with friends. 🙂 One of my girlfriends went into labor on Monday, so I met her family at the hospital, scooped up her two daughters, and brought them… Keep Reading

March Gift Guide: 15 Gifts Under $40

Hellooooo! How was your weekend? Saturday was snowy and gray, so we used the indoor time to knock out FRG work and other various volunteer or event-related tasks while the girls napped, wreaked havoc in their playroom, or watched Netflix. Definitely not my most favorite way to spend a Saturday, but it felt good to put a million checkmarks in… Keep Reading

The Saturday Sit-Down #9: Amber In Progress

Helloooooo weekend! Thanks for popping in to check out this week’s featured blogger, Amber! She is a new(ish) blogger who is so raw, encouraging, and authentic. I’ve enjoyed her work the last few weeks, and I’m glad that you’ll get to meet her as well. Q: In three sentences or less, tell us a little bit about you. A: I’m a… Keep Reading

Slice of Life + the End of a Wild Journey: March 9th, 2017

I didn’t think I had much to share in this “Slice of Life” since we haven’t been up to anything too exciting, but then I started grabbing pictures from my phone and realized that I have all kinds of things to blab about. 🙂 After hemming and hawing for literally two years over whether or not we should get rid… Keep Reading

Meet Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you!

I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos.

I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 5, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!)

I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
