Real Parenting Moments #6

It’s bizarre how parenting makes you feel your highest highs and lowest lows, often all in the same day hour. And that’s what these posts are all about. What a journey. A few stories from lately  – Last week Jamie and I were watching our new favorite show This is Us, and we heard Hadley call out his name. He walked… Keep Reading

Behind the Creation of Our Home Gym (+ a Marriage Win)

One of the main reasons I’m determined to find a way to put our house on wheels and take it with us when we move is because I feel like we live in a one-story home (which we love) but that we get the perks of a second story space-wise thanks to our basement. Upstairs on our main level we… Keep Reading

Freshly Picked Review: I won a giveaway for my daughter's first pair when she was seven months old, and we are been true blue Freshly Picked customers ever since. Now my daughter is almost three, and she's wearing the hard sole version. There are so many reasons we love Freshly Picked and will continue putting...

Freshly Picked: The Shoes My Girls Are Growing Up In

Our daughters are quite literally growing up in Freshly Picked shoes, the children’s shoe brand that we’ve used and loved for years. Hadley (pictured below) received her first pair when she was six months old, and we’ve been sold out to this fantastic company ever since. I still remember how excited I was for Hadley to try on her first… Keep Reading

Slice of Life – October 24th, 2016

Hello hello hello! How was your weekend? We had a couple of obligation-free days and totally enjoyed it. We spent a good bit of time outside hanging with our new neighbors, worked around the house, and did some general catching up on life. This weekend last year was my first weekend without Jamie after he left for his third deployment, and I… Keep Reading

On Seeking Therapy

In the days following Hadley’s accident I was encouraged by many friends and family members to seek therapy. It was painfully obvious to them that I had a good deal of post-traumatic stress from the whole ordeal, so one day after a good cry-sesh with my sister I picked up the phone and made an appointment for as soon as they could… Keep Reading

Girlfriend Time & A Rejuvenating Long Weekend

Hey friends! I hope you’re having a nice week so far. We’ve been playing a little bit of catch-up around here after putting aside the never-ending to-do list and relishing in a really fabulous weekend. One of my very best and long-time friends Ashley flew in on Friday night to spend a few days with us, and I’m missing the heck out… Keep Reading

Who She Is: Sadie at Six Months Old

Getting to the six month mark with Sadie feels equal parts victorious and heart wrenching; Victorious because so many of you surely understand that the first few months of infancy are often about “powering through” in many ways, and heart wrenching because I can feel our time with her as a baby rapidly slipping through our fingers by the day. It’s… Keep Reading

The Cutest At-Home Toddler Activity + Free Advertising Opportunity

Happy Friday! I hope you had a fab week! We’re lounging around here this morning after 4,000 back-to-back obligations yesterday, and I think my girls are enjoying the relaxed time just as much as I am. Tonight I’m picking up my best friend Ashley from the airport for a long-weekend visit, and I’m about to burst at the seams with excitement! Today… Keep Reading

Meet Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you!

I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos.

I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 5, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!)

I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
