New England + the Boston Marathon in a Flash

Hello, hello! Happy Humpday to ya! My mother-in-law is here visiting for the week, so we’re fixing to run out to grab lunch while the girls are at school before a completely full afternoon of dance, swim lessons, a few other random things, and finally a local community Easter egg hunt tonight at my best friend’s church. Whew! I have… Keep Reading

Annie the Brave: STEM-Inspired Dresses for Girls is Here!

This article contains information about Annie the Brave Clothing Line. I so vividly remember the first time my precious friend Chelsea shared that she had a big, scary secret to share: She was taking her very first baby steps toward designing her own clothing line for girls. SHE HAD MY ATTENTION! Long story short, her eyes had recently been flung… Keep Reading

Cheap Flights on Delta: How to Find the Best Travel Deals

This article contains information on how to find cheap flights on Delta.  I’m not sure if I talked about this on the blog, but I very briefly shared on Instagram Stories a few days ago that the only reason we initially booked a trip to Grand Cayman over other islands is because of the cheap flights on Delta we found…. Slice of Life: April 10th, 2019

I have a chunk of pictures to share today but not a lot of time to write up a bunch of words, so let’s get to it and breeze through a slice of life from the last month or so. 🙂 Most of these pictures are just little snapshots of my girls, with very few pictures that actually capture my… Keep Reading

Family-Friendly Vacation: Top Reasons to Vacation in Grand Cayman

When we booked our family-friendly vacation to Grand Cayman last October, we knew next to nothing about the island. I knew that it was beautiful after seeing a few pictures on Instagram from Amanda‘s family vacation there over fall break, but otherwise we were clueless. We decided to travel there and make it our 2019 family vacation spot for a… Keep Reading

One Year at Orangetheory Fitness (and Why I’ve Stuck With It Longer than Anything Else!)

I got an email on Tuesday celebrating my one year anniversary as an Orangetheory member. ONE FULL STINKIN’ YEAR! This is HUGE for me because I’ve never stuck with a fitness regimen this long as an adult. In the last 11 years I’ve tried: regular big box gym memberships countless group fitness classes at aforementioned gyms working out on post for… Keep Reading

Finding a Church Home: How We Navigated Through the Church Search

Note: This article contains information about finding a church home. I know that all of my blog readers aren’t Christians and come from many different faith backgrounds, beliefs, etc. If we differ, I have a little inclusive note for you at the bottom of this post. <3 Finding a new church last year when we moved to Alabama was a seriously… Keep Reading

Family Travel Tips for Your Next Vacation

This article contains my favorite family travel tips, recommendations, and reviews.  After 11+ years of traveling together (!), Jamie and I have nailed down pretty well what makes us irritated when we travel. Because travel for leisure is just that – for leisure – our motto is that we want to cut out as many frustrations as we can predict… Keep Reading

Meet Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you!

I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos.

I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 5, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!)

I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
