You’ve Probably Heard the News… :)

Yesterday I shared a big secret that I’ve been absolutely bursting to tell you: baby DeSpain #3 is well on his or her way! And the song I’ve had stuck in my head since the day we found out is Thomas Rhett’s “Life Changes”. Ain’t it funny how life changes You wake up, ain’t nothing the same and life changes… Keep Reading

Christmastime Slice of Life: December 14th, 2018

Happy Friday! I hope this finds you well and that you’ve had a great week despite surely juggling your fair share of holiday to-dos. I can’t quite figure out how my daily list of things to buy and do seems to continue getting longer rather than shorter, but ready or not, we’re 11 days out from Christmas Day. When I… Keep Reading

Gift Ideas for Preteen Boys

Well, this is admittedly not my arena. LOL. But when I asked who the hardest people were for you to shop for on IG (back in September-ish), three people specifically mentioned their preteen nephew, grandson, Godson, etc. So I spent a good chunk of time recently pouring through websites and articles searching for what preteen-ish aged boys are hoping to… Keep Reading

Gift Ideas for Your Husband

So this time of year is actually gift-giving central/chaos for Jamie and me. In a span of three weeks, we celebrate both of our birthdays, Christmas, and our anniversary! Yeesh! It’s pretty wild. After a few years of trying to figure out how to “properly” celebrate all of these special occasions without always combining them, we’ve figured out a good… Keep Reading

Five Reasons I’m Glad My Husband Joined the Army Reserve + A Sweepstakes

This post is sponsored by , which includes a fabulous sweepstakes at the bottom! This article details a handful of reasons and insight into our experience as a family with the Army Reserve, so I hope both my pointers as well as the sweepstakes are of interest to you!  Once Jamie made the firm decision that he’d be “dropping his… Keep Reading

Gift Guide: Gifts That I’d Like For Myself this Christmas

A couple months ago I posed a question on Instagram “polling the audience” about who their most difficult person to shop for is, and someone commented “Myself! I never know what to ask for or buy for myself!” I thought this was so interesting because I often feel the same way. I then saw an acquaintance from college pose the… Keep Reading

Gift Ideas for the Woman Who Has it All

If you search “gifts for the person” on Google, the first search result that completes that sentence is “who has it all”. Too funny. Many of us have someone (often a female) on our list who seeming already has it all, but here are a few ideas that I’ll bet she’ll still absolutely love. Gift Ideas for the Woman Who… Keep Reading

Our First Time Hosting Thanksgiving

Last week was full of family and feasting! My in-laws drove in the weekend prior to Thanksgiving for Hadley’s birthday party, which set us up perfectly to host everyone at our home for Turkey Day. In the past, we’ve always traveled to my family in Alabama or his family in Texas for this holiday, so we were excited to host… Keep Reading

Meet Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you!

I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos.

I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 5, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!)

I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
