Revenue Streams For Bloggers: Top Ways To Make Money

What are the top revenue streams for bloggers?  One of the most bold questions I get about blogging usually comes from those who I’m really close to or complete strangers, because they’re the only ones typically brave enough to ask it. 😉 They’ll ask “So how do you actually make money from your blog?” They say that they occasionally see… Keep Reading

An At-Home Dinner Date Idea for Two (Or the Whole Family!)

Do you have any big plans for Valentines Day tomorrow? Both girls are going to be in school, so Jamie and I are going to take advantage of the free time and work out together at 9Round (he tried it out with me last week and loved it) followed by a brunch date at one of our local favorites, The… Keep Reading

Inexpensive toy organization and a simplified playroom: Click here to read about the steps and very minimal things needed to declutter and organize the toys in your house once and for all. Whether you have a playroom or not, these tips for quick organization will not only help you feel like you have some control over the clutter, but your kids will also play better with what they have (hint: it's because they'll have less!). Toy Organization and a Simplified Playroom

On a list of things that make me a little loco, these two rank fairly high: When the playroom is such a wreck, I can’t even see the floor. When my kids don’t have any interest playing with their toys because 30 different toys and activities are thrown all over the room, and they don’t even know where to begin… Keep Reading

The Saturday Sit-Down #54: Mudpies and Pearls

So here’s a little behind the scenes for ya: Even though you’re likely reading this on Saturday, I’m currently putting this together at 5:27 a.m. on Friday morning. I might be a little insane, but hear me out. 🙂 I’m sitting here under a heated blanket, sipping coffee, listening to Sadie’s white noise machine nearby, and the house simply feels… Keep Reading

Do You Have Annual Vacation Traditions?

Ever since Sadie was born, we’ve slowed our roll a bit with taking trips for leisure simply because our energy and finances were seemingly focused on other things. One kid didn’t slow us down, but two little ones certainly (and justifiably) did. Now that our youngest is nearing two and seemingly much more manageable and able to go with the flow, we’re… Keep Reading

Slice of Life: February 7th, 2018

Good morning and Happy Hump Day! I always look forward to Wednesday because it’s the one day a week that both girls are in school all day. It’s glorious! Lat fall, I envisioned this to be my one day a week where I could do whatever I wanted, but I usually end up filling it with appointments and tasks that… Keep Reading

House-Selling Update & Some Real Talk

Jamie and I have both tried really hard to stay relaxed, patient, and level-headed when it comes to this whole house-selling thing, but I about lost my cool Sunday when I got a text from our realtor saying that the people coming to see our home that morning would need to reschedule. Major sad face. The showing was supposed to… Keep Reading

What To Do When Your One Year Old is Losing His/Her Mind (and You’re Rapidly Losing Yours Too)

Up until a couple weeks ago, we were navigating a phase with Sadie where she was the most high maintenance, impossible to please kiddo 80% of her awake hours. For 2-3 months she was seemingly so frustrated with and screaming about everything – her food, her clothes, our activity, you name it. That stage where your kid has so much… Keep Reading

Meet Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you!

I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos.

I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 5, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!)

I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
