The Saturday Sit-Down #53: Life With the Lesniaks

Well hi! If heading here on Saturday morning and reading this is a teeny part of your weekend routine, THANKS! 🙂 So glad to have ya! What are you up to this weekend? This morning I’m briefly speaking on a panel over at K-State and answering questions about how I make food choices for my family. I believe there will… Keep Reading

How Old Were You When You Met Your Spouse?

It’s been 10 years. 10! On February 1st, 2008 Jamie and I met each other in person for the first time at the bottom of an escalator at Stewart Airport in Newburgh, New York. I was with my sister, and we were flying in for the Yearling Winter Weekend ball (sophomore ball) at West Point. She was attending with her… Keep Reading

A Day in the Life: January 2018 (Hadley 4 yrs | Sadie almost 2)

I put together my first “Day in the Life” post 3.5 years ago after stealing the idea from my parents (who did something similar when I was a baby), and here we are eight “Day in the Life” posts later. I’ve done them each summer and winter, and occasionally Jamie and I go through them consecutively just to torture ourselves… Keep Reading

Slice of Life: January 30th, 2018

Hey friends! Happy Tuesday to ya. 🙂 I have about an hour window to unwind for a little bit and share a slice of life with you, so let’s get to it! One thing I love so much about living anywhere but the southeast (where we are happily moving back to by choice haha!) is that snow doesn’t shut down… Keep Reading

Most Clicked On & Purchased Items from the 2017 Holiday Gift Guides

Even though math was my least favorite subject growing up, I’ve oddly always had a thing for studying analytics and numbers. This is probably why I got such a kick out of checking my affiliate sites in November and December to see which items were popular with click-throughs as well as purchases. Of course I can’t see who orders what,… Keep Reading

The Saturday Sit-Down #52: Dreams + Coffee

Ah, January 27th already. This month flew by in lightning speed around here! I went in for my routine dental cleaning this week, and my sweet hygienist asked me how our holidays were. I paused for a second before answering because I had to think about it; Is she talking about Christmas? Isn’t it, like, July and the holidays were… Keep Reading

The Rollercoaster of Being a First-Time Mom: A Follow Up Four Years Later

Four years ago today, I vividly remember what a wreck I was. Why hadn’t anyone warned me that the first few weeks (months?) of being a brand new mom would be way harder than they would be enjoyable? Did they try to tell me and I just didn’t listen? Likely. I remember sitting on our brown leather couch in our… Keep Reading

Meet Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you!

I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos.

I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 5, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!)

I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
