Tucson, AZ – Weekend Top Five

Like last weekend, we spent the last few days in Oro Valley/Tucson with my family. Our long weekend can be summed up in a list of my top five favorite parts of our trip together. (in no particular order) 1. Girls’ afternoon shopping trip with Mom, Jennifer, Hadley, and me 2. Friday morning hike (thanks Mom for babysitting!) We definitely… Keep Reading

A Day in the Life of Hadley – Eight Months Old

When I was around Hadley’s age, my parents rented a camcorder and taped me all day long. They put the footage on a VHS and wrote “A Day in the Life of Erica” on the label. They’ve referred back to how special that video was/is for as long as I can remember. Jamie and I really can’t get over how… Keep Reading

Semi-Staycation

The last few days we’ve been vacationing in our own state at a resort just 93 miles from our driveway in a little city called Oro Valley. The stars really aligned for this little getaway to work out! My dad’s company’s headquarters is out here in Tucson, so a few months ago he started playing with the idea of working… Keep Reading

C. Lowe by Scarlet & Gold Giveaway

On a list of things that I am crazy about, (1) watching The Bachelor/ette on Monday nights and (2) making 3,000 different to-do lists are right up there near the top! Anyone who knows me even semi-well knows both of these things about me. Well, these two loves of mine have collided in the form of Catherine Lowe’s new line… Keep Reading

Summertime Grilled Pizza

Jamie has been quite the grill master this summer; nearly all of our dinners have come hot off the grill. We’ve eaten our weight in grilled chicken (coated in olive oil and low-sodium taco seasoning), and we’ve also grilled a variety of burgers (beef, turkey, and black bean). Last night we grilled our pizza! I’d never heard of grilled pizza… Keep Reading

Buying Our Home in Kansas: Inspection Report

Though this is not our first rodeo buying a home, this is our first time buying a home that’s not a new construction. I hardly remember anything from the inspection process back in 2011 when we bought our first home because the inspection came back clean as a whistle (obviously since it was brand new). The home we’re buying this… Keep Reading

Date Night

On Saturday morning we were playing with Hadley in bed when Jamie rolled over and told me that he was taking me on a date the following night, and he’d already made the reservations. Love. Tank. Full. I know every girl is different, but it’s no secret to Jamie that one of the fastest ways to win me over is to… Keep Reading

Arizona Monsoon Season

Did you know that Arizona has a monsoon season? Since we moved here in March, the only precipitation we’d seen prior to last week was a 10 minute mist that was light enough that one could still leisurely walk outside to check the mail or walk to the car without an umbrella. The local news stations have been prepping viewers for… Keep Reading

Meet Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you!

I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos.

I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 5, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!)

I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
