Thread by Elizabeth Clark giveaway!

I am so pumped about my first giveaway!   Apparently these giveaways are what all the cool kids are doing on their blogs, so I figured why not join the fun?!   I’ve teamed up with one of my most favorite friends, Bethy, for this one! Bethy is insanely (and I mean crazy over the TOP!) talented at creating personalized… Keep Reading

Mothers Day Weekend

A family weekend was what we needed, and a family weekend is what we’ve had. It seems like it’s been forever since somebody in this house hasn’t been running a fever, pounding allergy medicine, or curling up in bed with aches and chills. I missed out on several fun events last weekend, so we were determined to get out of Sierra… Keep Reading

Ground Turkey Baked Spaghetti

We enjoyed a quick trip to the park today to play with Jocelyn and take some pictures. Hanging with my new friend Lisa the other day inspired me to really take advantage of my Canon T3i camera and learn how to use it! I’ve had it for almost three years so it’s about time. I have quite a bit of research… Keep Reading

“What’s on your…” round two & a breakfast fail

I’m a few days behind on this post according to the schedule I posted last week, but here goes “What’s on your NIGHTSTAND?”. Besides turning on the lamp, I left everything as it was when I woke up this morning. I love to decorate but I’m not awesome at it, so everything you see is pretty functional and basic. I bought… Keep Reading

Cilantro-Orange Chicken & Rice with Peanut Glaze

Though Jamie is not hard to please as far as my cooking goes, he was raving about what was on the table tonight! In fact, he’s already called dibs on taking the leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Wahhh. I got the original recipe from another blog, but tweaked it just a hair to our liking. Note: Please don’t be discouraged by the… Keep Reading

In search of GRASS

Yesterday we went searching for grass. Yep. Grass. We go on short walks around our neighborhood all the time, but there’s not a single patch of green along our route. Poor Ted has seemingly adjusted to doing his thang while squatting on rocks or lifting his leg on a prickling sorry excuse of a bush, but Jamie got home from… Keep Reading

Tigers & Turkey Burgers – Cleanse Day Two

Good morning and Happy Teacher Appreciation Day to my favorite teachers from Madison and Tuscaloosa (several who I’m facebook friends with and may read this blog!) and of course to my fellow teacher loves in Alabama, at St. Johns, and at West Creek. What a joke. 😉 Thanks Jess! I was hoping to have day two of the cleanse up… Keep Reading

10 day cleanse – DAY ONE

With vacation time just three weeks away, today seemed like as good a day as any to start a 10-day cleanse. I’m also getting over a nasty virus that Hadley and I have both had this past week, so my body needs some cleansing! This time around I’m determined to get through the 10 days without a lick of cheating so… Keep Reading

Meet Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you!

I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos.

I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 5, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!)

I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
