Slice of Life (+ Mom’s Visit to KS) – July 29th, 2016

Hello and Happy Friday, friends! We have a couple fun things on tap for the weekend, but we’re going to try to squeeze in as much rest as we can before we hop a flight to Florida on Monday! Our niece is already two months old and we’re so excited to meet her and kiss her cheeks! My sister and her family are stationed… Keep Reading

A Rainy Morning Pancake Playdate

I’ve been joking around with my mom this week about how her visits don’t look like what they used to. She’s been visiting me either in Tennessee, Arizona, or here in Kansas for over five years, and until now we’ve always filled our schedule to the brim with shopping, sight-seeing, dining out, and more. Having two small children has really slowed… Keep Reading

On Sponsored Posts – Finding Them, Selecting Them, and My Reason for Doing Them

I started blogging consistently just over two years ago as a hobby while I adjusted to being a stay-at-home mom, and it only took me a hot minute to realize that bloggers all around the world are boosting their bank accounts by building their blogs. The idea of financially contributing to our family simply by doing something I am passionate about (writing,… Keep Reading

Nicknames for Kids: Do Yours Have Them?

Jamie and I can’t put a finger on when we started calling Hadley by “Hadley Boo” or who was the first to call her that, but to say that it’s stuck would be an understatement. She has a few other nicknames too (“Diva Diva” is another accidental popular one), but Hadley Boo might as well be on the birth certificate…. Keep Reading

Stitch Fix #16 – July 2016

Note: This post is in no way sponsored by Stitch Fix. I pay for all of my own clothing myself, though I do receive a small credit towards my account when readers use my affiliate link.  Drama queen alert: This fix is what MY DREAMS ARE MADE OF. Seriously, this is my favorite box yet (and I’ve received 16). All five items… Keep Reading

Slice of Life – July 21st, 2016

This week has been a good one so far, but it’s going to get even better today because I get to see my mom! She’s flying in to spend a week with us, and I’ve been counting down the days. She hasn’t been up here since October, so I’m thrilled that she’s coming to play with us! Here’s our most recent… Keep Reading

Three Months with Sadie Rose

This little girl is pure Heaven, and today she officially hit the three month mark! I’d love to share a little bit about our big girl and how things have been going, if you’re interested. 🙂 On eating Come Hell or high water, I was determined to make breastfeeding work for us (lots of very personal reasons why, but you… Keep Reading

Meet Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you!

I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos.

I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 5, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!)

I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
