Military Spouse Appreciation Day Link-Up!

Because there is such a thing as Military Spouses Appreciation Day, today I’m raising my glass to the women who I long to call my friends forever. Today celebrates my absolute favorite aspect of our military lifestyle, and that’s the spouses that Jamie’s career has brought into my life. Having close friends all over the world is the coolest thing… Keep Reading

A Letter To My Military Spouse Soul Sisters, With Love

The Friday before Mother’s Day is annually recognized as National Military Spouse Appreciation Day. I admittedly used to think this idea was kind of silly, but now I view it as an awesome, extra opportunity to celebrate some of the most incredible people I’ve been so fortunate to have in my life. A Letter to My Military Spouse Soul Sisters, With… Keep Reading

Birth Pictures: Four Reasons To Consider Hiring a Birth Photographer - #1The raw emotion of the two best moments of our lives is forever captured. The pictures of the moments immediately before and after we met our girls are so priceless to me. I'm so glad we have them.

Birth Photography: Four Reasons to Consider Hiring a Birth Photographer

My parents have a large storage bin and literally dozens of albums full of photos of my siblings and me taken throughout our lives, but I’ve always been drawn to the album that’s full of pictures of when we were born. Somehow in those life-changing moments my dad had the focus to take pictures, and as an adult I think it’s really fascinating to look… Keep Reading

Pictures from the Hospital and Sadie’s First Two Weeks

Just like that my littlest love is two weeks old! We’re pretty vocal about how we have no clue if we’re done having kids or not, so watching Sadie grow and change so quickly makes me a little anxious for time to slow down. I want to soak up every precious thing about this newborn stage that I can – sleepless… Keep Reading

Sadie’s Social Induction Birth Story

As I sit here typing and watching my nine day old baby girl snooze just four feet away, I’m reminded how thankful I am that she’s here, she’s healthy, and that the labor experience – one that I’d admittedly been a little anxious about for months – went as well as it did. I’m so excited to document it and share it… Keep Reading

Our Last Weekend as a Family of Three

Good morning and Happy Humpday! We’re dragging a bit around here today after sending Jamie back overseas yesterday, but thankfully the light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter and we are nearing the finish line! I seriously couldn’t imagine finishing out the deployment without help from family. Having two little ones is serious business! Today I want… Keep Reading

Our Airport Reunion After Six Months Apart

The anxious, nervous, excited feelings that I felt last Friday morning while putting on my makeup and curling my hair were feelings all too familiar; I have felt them every single time I’ve prepared to see Jamie after a lengthy amount of time away from each other due to a deployment. They’re right up there with the giddy nerves I felt… Keep Reading

She’s Here! Introducing Sadie

Yesterday, on April 18th at 12:50 p.m., Sadie Rose was born weighing a precious 6lb 11oz and measuring 19″ tall. Thank you for ALL of the love and well-wishes via Instagram and Facebook yesterday! We are so happy, relieved, grateful, and insanely in love. This week I’m taking a break from this site to soak up my family, but I’ll… Keep Reading

Meet Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you!

I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos.

I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 5, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!)

I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
