Saying Goodbyes

Goodbyes, goodbyes, and more goodbyes! It seems like that’s all we’ve been saying the last few months. I didn’t write a post about my thoughts on leaving Fort Campbell because I’m still just kind of a basket case about it! Okay, not really, but leaving behind the incredible life we’d built there was a lot harder than I expected it… Keep Reading

Getting back to exercising post-pregnancy

This mama wanted her body back! 🙂 Getting back to an exercise routine post-pregnancy has been an equal parts mental and physical battle, but I’ve had a number of motivators that have kept me going throughout the last five months. Motivator #1 – Weight loss and getting back into old clothes (November & December) For starters, my college roommate and one… Keep Reading

Getting out of a Ticket: Army Wife Style & other Monday Musings

A couple days ago, I was on my way to Lowes with Hadley in tow to get some flowers for my front porch pots (that a mystery animal already ate half of, but I digress…), when blue lights started flashing behind. Crap. I don’t even know what I did!I put my blinker on to signal that I would be turning… Keep Reading

Baby Essentials Round Two

Happy Friday! A few months ago I wrote a post about which baby essentials carried us through the first three months of my daughter’s life (ah I never get tired of saying my daughter), and that post was actually my most viewed post ever (600+ views in a matter of hours… you guys rock! Thank you!). Since Hadley turns six months old tomorrow, I… Keep Reading

skin cancer scare

At 26 years old I am finally getting some sense about summer time skin care, but it’s taken a half dozen doctors appointments and one nice big scar on my stomach for me to get there. Meet my new bffs that Hadley, Jamie, and I are covered in every single day. Since moving to southern Arizona in March, we’ve all… Keep Reading

peanut buttery no-bake treats and a tabata workout

I’m excited to share with you all kinds of good stuff today! Hadley was out cold by 7:10 last night, and after putting her to bed I got this weird burst of energy that had me up doing all kinds of things. When I was going through the fridge looking for things to throw in Jamie’s lunch, I found a couple… Keep Reading

Waiting to Find Out Our Next Duty Station

This morning I’ve got the military on my mind! Jamie and I got to talking last night on our walk about possible next duty stations, and needless to say we ended up walking twice the distance we’d planned! We are three incredibly long days away from getting our list of 20ish places that we can possibly head to next, and I need that… Keep Reading

Cleanse Day #6

If you read yesterday’s post, you read that I took a little break from the cleanse over the weekend due to not picking my start date too well. I didn’t go overboard on what I ate by any means, but I didn’t stick to the “strict” cleanse food guide either! Today I was back to it, so I wanted to… Keep Reading

Meet Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you!

I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos.

I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 5, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!)

I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
