lazy day.

ohmygosh, I am SO thankful to have five whole days to do absolutely SQUAT before I head up to speak in NJ next week! It might just be in my head, but the seven-hour time difference between here and Germany has been kicking my butt! Last night I was dead asleep by 7:30 and was up and wide awake this… Keep Reading

Germany

Four weeks ago, I was telling my parents about how excited I was that Jamie and I were about to hit the “single number of weeks until we see each other” countdown. I had NO idea that I was really about to begin the single DAY countdown! Jamie had a golfball-sized lump on the back of his neck, and the… Keep Reading

everybody has a story

You know, airports and airplanes are funny places. I realized this when I said goodbye to a rugby player this morning that I spent 15 minutes talking to. We met after he made a joke about how sleepy I looked for our 7 a.m. flight. When we were about to de-board, he said a quick “see ya later!” as I got up… Keep Reading

the fam

Almost didn’t go home to my parent’s house this weekend; All I wanted to do was stay in Clarksville for a few days before I got back on the road. … but Jamie reminded me that time with loved ones is sweet, and you never know how much time you have, so he convinced me to go home and soak up… Keep Reading

100 miles!

Numero uno on the deployment bucket list is to complete a half-marathon before Jamie is home, so I signed up for the St. Jude’s half the day after Jamie left. That was six months ago, and now those 13.1 miles are staring me in the face – two months of training to go! Just for the record, the training has not… Keep Reading

This Can’t Be Real Life – One Week in New Hampshire

Tonight wrapped up one full month of running around the country with Rachel’s Challenge. September has passed in the blink of an eye. When the office folks in Littleton told me I wouldn’t head out on the road full-time until September, I remember thinking that September would never get here; Now I can’t believe a month is under my belt…. Meet Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you!

I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos.

I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 5, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!)

I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
