over it.

I miss my husband with every fiber of my being right now.            I was well aware of what I was getting myself into when I married Jamie. When I married myself into the Army.                      But right now I’m just pissed, for lack of better word. I am married, for crying out loud, and is it too dang… Keep Reading

first presentation

I am so excited for today and can’t wait for it to be over at the exact same time! This morning, I’ll have the priviledge of speaking to 6th through 8th graders, take a break, provide 1.5 hours of Friends of Rachel (FOR) Club training, take a break/work out/NAP, and then head back to school for a community presentation at… Keep Reading

It’s almost flipping SEPTEMBER! Praise the good Lord —- 3.5 more months until r&r! I think I might just do a dance. Time IS, in fact, FLYING now, and it’s only going to start going by faster because — MY SEASON WITH RACHEL’S CHALLENGE BEGINS TOMORROW!!!!!!!! Y’all, I’m so pumped. breast cancer and bananas

An update on my sweet Tante (Aunt) Lynn – We found out last week that the cancer had NOT spread to her lymphnodes – Praise GOD. What a relief for our entire family. She’ll start chemotherapy in a few weeks, and we are hoping that her chemo treatments will be complete by the new year. She is an inspiration and… Keep Reading

SPRAY PAINT PERFECTION!

Blogs are SO much more interesting to “read” when the blogger actually puts up pictures. I am a terrible blogger… and need a new camera… Jamie? Care if I invest (because it’s obviously investing if you buy a good one, right?) in a new one? With that being said, I obviously have nadda one before or after picture of my numerous… Keep Reading

on the road again

I have never been more proud of Jamie than I was four months ago today when he walked away from me for 10 months and onto the bus that would begin his first deployment. Even writing about it, I can still physically remember the incredible mix of emotions that I felt that night standing in that hangar – anxiety, pride, devestation, and immense… Keep Reading

recipes!

I love when I find things I love. (Did you follow that?) I spent over an hour on foodgawker.com yesterday saving dozens of recipes to my “favorites” tab. I picked this one (plus chicken) chicken and homemade pesto sandwich and this one squash fries to grocery shop for and make. I don’t have the most fabulous history of cooking and baking success (I… Keep Reading

oh bachelor pad

Today is a really, really abnormally good Monday for a number of reasons: I returned back home to Clarksville this morning after 10 days in Alabama and Florida. I love going away, but I really love coming home, too. 🙂 I washed and put away every stitch of laundry I had. Got to catch up with one of my best… Keep Reading

Meet Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you!

I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos.

I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 5, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!)

I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
