For children 0-3: The Parents As Teachers Program

When we first moved to Kansas last September I hit the ground running immediately to get plugged in here. Our short time in Arizona was really quiet and boring, and I was ready to find community again. Luckily for our whole family, Manhattan has a thousand and one things to do any day of the week, so finding things to… Keep Reading

Milestones That Leave You at a Loss for Words

Milestones. They’re funny, really. In regard to motherhood, it’s strange which ones have left me totally unfazed and which ones have formed a serious lump in my throat and tears in my eyes. Some of Hadley’s milestones have left me with a loss for words. Like the time Jamie came home for lunch and Hadley smiled at him for the… Keep Reading

10 Tips & Tricks for Your Next Partial DITY Move

Happy Monday friends! I hope you had a nice weekend and enjoyed a little bit of r&r with your loved ones. On Friday I realized we had zero plans on the calendar for the weekend, and that in itself made me want to do a little dance and just enjoy the freedom of a no-commitment summer weekend. Going with the… Keep Reading

Some TLC for the Forgotten Half Bath

In this post I share about a cheap, easy, and quick update that I did to our home’s half bath. A little paint goes a long way in this dark, hidden bathroom tucked away in our 1980s-era home. Valspar Tempered Gray takes this room from gloomy to bright in just a couple hours. Continue to see full before and after… Keep Reading

Slice of Life – 6/3/15

Hump Day! This week is flying by! The only “big” thing on our calendar this week is swimming lessons Monday through Thursday, but other than that I am loving the down time to relax. Here’s a little slice of our lives the last couple of weeks. Hadley came with me to my recent dental cleaning and did as well as… Keep Reading

What I Wanted to be When I Grew Up

Today I’m linking up with Momfessionals (a.k.a. one of the cutest mom blogs ever) and sharing about what little ol’ me wanted to be when I grew up. Oh boy! Here we go. 🙂 I think most little kids have one job in particular that they dream of doing one day, and younger Erica was no exception. For as long as I… Keep Reading

A Surprise Baby Shower for a Fellow Army Wife & Friend

Remember how last week I mentioned that we were busy gearing up for a big barbecue at our house on Saturday? The truth is that though we were planning to host lots of guests for a backyard party, we were actually planning a big surprise couples baby shower instead of just a barbecue! I first “met” my friend Faith on… Keep Reading

Meet Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you!

I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos.

I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 5, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!)

I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
