The Saturday Sit-Down #17: Another Year Another City

As I was putting together today’s feature, I realized that three out of the last four bloggers that I’m featuring live overseas. For some reason this simple idea struck me as really neat. 🙂 Today’s blogger is Sarah, and she and her family are currently living in Germany! What stands out the most to me about Sarah is how generous she… Keep Reading

How To Mow the Lawn When Your Spouse is Away (and You Have Kids) in 57 Easy Steps

It didn’t take me long to laugh about this, but yesterday I literally almost had a complete come-apart from mowing the lawn. I’m pretty sure my neighbor was outside when Sadie bonked her head on the playhouse and I shouted in a panic at my mom on the phone “I just have to go because I can’t do 5,000 things and… Keep Reading

The best marriage advice: The advice came from the pastor who married us. We only had two short pre-marital counseling sessions with him since we planned our wedding so fast, but something he said really stuck with us. He advised that we do our best to not have specific jobs. His...

The Best Marriage Advice We Ever Received: Don’t Have Specific Jobs

This article contains our opinion about the best marriage advice we ever received. The Best Marriage Advice Throughout the last couple weeks I’ve been browsing decor for my best friend’s upcoming bridal shower, and I kept stumbling across the Pinterest-y idea for an “advice jar” where attendees jot down advice for the bride-to-be. It got me thinking about what I… Keep Reading

10 Pretty Dresses for Summer Events

Today’s post is talking all things pretty dresses for summer events! We are buckling our seat belts (literally) and gearing up for a busier summer than we’ve had in years. We’ll be on the road, in the sky, and running around the country to see our family and friends for weddings, showers, the 4th of July, a bachelorette party, and more…. Keep Reading

Stroller Review: The Best Single and Double Strollers

This article is an unsponsored stroller review, and contains my personal opinion of the best single and double strollers on the market.  I think the most common question (by far!) that I see in Facebook moms groups and on my social media newsfeed is “What baby items do I need? What do you use and love?” I, too, created a similar Facebook status… Keep Reading

Three Things Survey

Hi! How was your weekend? It was rainy, cold (in the 40s), and super windy here in Kansas, and while we had a few things on the calendar that we ran around to do, we spent the majority of our weekend hunkered down at home piddling around. No complaining here! Today’s post is inspired by my blogging friend Jenn who recently… Keep Reading

The Saturday Sit-Down #16 with Jewels Wandering, A Travel Blog

This weekend we have the first travel blogger to be featured in this series, and I am EXCITED! The blogging community is a neat place because bloggers can really get to know each other while sitting behind a computer or phone and reading/commenting on each others’ content. No questions asked, if I ever got the chance to meet today’s featured… Keep Reading

Traveling with Kids By Car or Plane: How We Make it Easier

Today we’re talking all things traveling with kids! But first, story time. 🙂 I was pretty honest in detailing what a wild flight we had getting from Kansas City to Orlando last month, but the truth is that the chaos started the second we left the house. We left around 4:45 p.m. to make the two-hour trek to Kansas City,… Keep Reading

Meet Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you!

I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos.

I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 5, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!)

I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
