Slice of Life – April 26th, 2017

Hello hello! I hope you’re having a nice week so far! We put my mom on a plane back home to Alabama today after such a relaxed, enjoyable visit. She’ll be back in a few weeks for Hadley’s dance recital, so knowing that we’ll see her again so soon made the goodbye easier. It’s been a couple weeks since my last… Keep Reading

Wamego Tulip Festival

This article contains information about Wamego Tulip Festival down in Wamego, Kansas. We have the cutest little town called Wamego about 20-30 minutes east that never fails to come alive when it’s time for a festival! The weather was expected to be gorgeous on Sunday, so my mom and I packed a bag full of our afternoon necessities and headed… Keep Reading

April Gift Guide: 8 Gifts for $75 or Less for Mother’s Day

T-minus 20 days until Mother’s Day! My mom has a couple more days here with us in Kansas, so you could say we’re celebrating a few weeks early by having fun together while Jamie is away. 🙂 When it comes to gift giving (or receiving), do you enjoy physical gifts or experiences more? I personally love giving and receiving a combination of both… Keep Reading

The Saturday Sit-Down #15: Kristin Milner

Happy Saturday, friends! I hope this post finds you well and that you’re enjoying your weekend. My amazing mom is in town visiting, and we are soaking up and thoroughly enjoying every second of her company. Today I’m so glad to share with you the second blogger in this series that I actually know personally (the first being Sarah)! Kristin and… Keep Reading

Our Thoughts One Month After Canceling Cable

During a “Slice of Life” post last month, I briefly mentioned that we finally canceled our DirecTV cable account after our bill went up again, and you all had a lot to say! Apparently many of you also canceled cable or are considering it, so this was a hot topic in the comments section of this blog and social media…. Keep Reading

All About Sadie at 12 Months Old

Thank you so much for the kindest first birthday wishes for Sadie this week! We had such a wonderful, low key day celebrating as a family on Tuesday (Did you catch the letter I wrote to her?). We put balloons in her crib a few minutes before we expected her to wake up and then listened closely for when she… Keep Reading

A First Birthday Love Letter to Sadie

To my beautiful girl, It’s your first birthday! I’m not often at a loss for words when I write, but I know that I’ll give you this letter when you’re older (even though it’s impossible to picture you as any older than the precious little one year old you are!) No matter how old you are when you read this,… Keep Reading

The Saturday Sit-Down #14: Wanderlust and Mayhem

I’ve been looking forward to sharing today’s featured blogger with you all week! I personally couldn’t waited to get her interview questions back and read all that she had to share. Today’s blogger is Kathleen from Wanderlust and Mayhem, and she writes one of those blogs that is very easy to get sucked into for a good, long while (I… Keep Reading

Meet Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you!

I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos.

I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 5, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!)

I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
