Slice of Life: March 4th, 2019

Hello, hello! How was your weekend? Ours was a steady combination of relaxing (Friday evening), crazy busy (Saturday), and productive (Sunday), so I’d say ours was a-okay. We traveled to Atlanta (just under a four hour drive each way) the last two weekends, so it felt good to hang around town this weekend. I have a “Slice of Life” on… Keep Reading

New(ish) Baby Items On My Radar

It’s been six years since I created my baby registry during my pregnancy with Hadley, so it’s safe to say that things have evolved quite a bit since then! While some tried-and-true items are still frequently used by new parents due to their timeless, proven function (like this that both of our girls lived in!), there are others that are… Keep Reading

My Feature in the Thriving Military Wife Series (+ How to Sign Up to Watch!)

Hello, hello! It’s currently Thursday morning, and Sadie, Teddy, and I are all sitting about as close together as we can while we watching Hotel Transylvania 3 on this rainy day (and I type away on this post of course!) I love Thursday mornings SO much because it’s the one morning a week where Sadie and I have some quiet one-on-one… Keep Reading

18 Deep Discounts on Kids’ Items Right Now from Nordstrom

I was poking around online this morning looking for a new sports bra (I ordered because everything from Zella is gold considering the moderate price tags) and saw that Nordstrom has some pretty deep discounts going on for men, women, and kiddos. I decided to quickly round up a few items from the kids section that were too good not… Keep Reading

A Weekend Surrounded By Friends & Fish

Our Presidents Day Weekend was one we won’t soon forget! It was chock-full of friends, family, and some big, big fish, but it was also filled with some sorrow too. On Friday night, Jamie’s uncle passed away from a hard-fought battle with cancer, and though it wasn’t unexpected, it was still a somber evening around here as we felt such… Keep Reading

Slice of Life: February 15th, 2019

When I was browsing through my phone looking for pictures to grab for this “Slice of Life”, I realized that my “videos to pictures” ratio is about 4:1. Ha! We’ve been boppin’ all over the place lately, but I have just a few pictures to show for it. Such is becoming more and more routine I guess! I used to… Keep Reading

Afternoon Quiet Time Tips for Kids Ages 1-5

Here are my top afternoon quiet time tips that I use for my little ones.  Having good infant sleepers is not something that I can add to my motherhood resume, but toddler/preschool sleep is my JAM.  “They” (whoever “they” is) always say that if it’s one kid who is being difficult with something, it’s probably just their personality, but if… Keep Reading

Valentines Day Date Ideas that Don’t Involve Hiring a Babysitter

Here are some of my favorite Valentines Day Date Ideas As cheesy and “Hallmark-y” as the holiday is, Valentines Day really is a great opportunity to shower those around you with a little bit of extra intentional love – especially your significant other. If you’d like to enjoy this minor “holiday” with your spouse but don’t want to shell out… Keep Reading

Meet Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you!

I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos.

I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 5, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!)

I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
