Kicking Off the Week with a Toddler Stomach Bug (+ pics from a fabulous weekend)

Well hey! I missed not popping in to say hello yesterday. The last 36 hours have been all about survival – Hadley had (has?) her first stomach bug (too early to tell since she’s not awake yet). No one warned me about just how traumatic it would be to watch your helpless 14 month old repeatedly vomiting like an adult,… Keep Reading

PCS Woes: Why Finding Another Church Home is So Hard

Finding a new church home is right up there at the top of the list of things I find the most difficult to do following a move. I’m not sure we could ever feel completely settled or “at home” in our city without a church to call ours, so we’ve sought out new churches to attend the very first weekend… Keep Reading

Fresh Face Friday Feature + Jessica’s Visit

On Wednesday one of my closest friends Jessica flew up from Tennessee to spend a few days with us, and we are loving having her here! Jamie got off work a few hours early Wednesday to be on parenting duty so that I could run down to Kansas City to scoop up Jess. 🙂 Her flight got in right on… Keep Reading

That Nationwide Commercial Lit a Fire Under Me

So if you were even half watching the Super Bowl commercials the other day, I’m sure you saw (or at least heard about) the Nationwide commercial. That stupid stupid stupid commerical! It made my blood boil. Jamie’s distant cousin lost their toddler daughter in their backyard swimming pool about three years ago, and all I could think about was how… Keep Reading

A Homemade Valentine Idea for Relatives from Your Baby or Toddler

Happy Humpday! I usually don’t start my posts with mentions of the weather, but the high temps are absolutely blowing my mind this week! It’s 70 degrees with bright blue skies and absolutely gorgeous! We had plans to soak up this gorgeous day with some friends today, but Hadley started running a 100.3 degree fever, so we decided that we… Keep Reading

Ready in 30 Minutes: Our Go-To Healthy Dinner

When I have to sacrifice taste in order to eat healthy, I’m not a happy camper. I love to enjoy my meals, but I also love how great I feel mentally and physically when I’ve eaten the right foods for my body. #thestruggleisreal When I can find a dinner combo that put checkmarks in the “healthy” and “delicious” boxes, I… Keep Reading

Meet Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you!

I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos.

I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 5, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!)

I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
